It seems that December has come and almost gone and I didn't post at all this month. Yikes! So here is my month in a nutshell:
I got in a tiny wreck on the Monday before Christmas. The roads were slick and I took out a mail box and ran over some landscaping rocks. It ended up being no big deal, $150 bucks later and we were all done, car all fixed. It's funny, we thought we were going to be into it at least $500 so when it was all done and only cost $150 we felt like we won the lottery. Stupid....I know.
My birthday was on Tuesday, the girls in the neighborhood made me breakfast, it was awesome! They are so nice to do that for me!! I stayed home the rest of the day mostly because my car was in the shop! Jason took us out to dinner for my birthday. He got me an I Touch. We loaded Cars, Kung Fu Panda and WALLE on it, so now Luke can be entertained anywhere we go! Yipee!
My Mom came up and spent a couple days with us! Christmas was fabulous, they boys got tons of stuff and had fun playing with all their toys. They got sleds for Christmas and have loved playing in all the snow!
We took Luke to the Dr. on Friday, we think he had croup but was actually on the mend by the time we got him in to the Dr. He is doing much better!
Jason has the rest of the year off, it has been nice to have him home. I am not looking forward to life getting back to normal next week.....

Count down to Christmas!
Can you believe it is already December, where has the time gone?? I took the boys to their Dr's appointments today and they ended up taking the whole day. Isaac got 6 shots, poor little thing. I think he is going to be pretty sore tomorrow. Luke just got his flu shot, that was it. I took them to the park later this afternoon, I was hoping maybe if Isaac ran around a little it would help his legs out. He is so dramatic, so tomorrow should be interesting. I am almost done with my Christmas shopping. I did a bunch last Friday, I got up at 5 and hit all the stores. I love to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving!! Any ideas for good neighbor gifts?? I do the same thing every year and thought about changing it up this year. My house looks like a bomb hit it last night and I haven't been home all day to clean it up. Guess I should go do something today.....
Things I am Thankful for Day 13
I am thankful for Sunday, a day to relax and catch up on The 4400. We are on season 2 now, pretty good show.....
Things I am Thankful for Day 11 & 12

Things I am Thankful for Day 6
This Primary song explains perfectly what I am grateful for today!
My Heavenly Father Loves Me
1. Whenever I hear the song of a bird
Or look at the blue, blue sky,
Whenever I feel the rain on my face
Or the wind as it rushes by,
Whenever I touch a velvet rose
Or walk by our lilac tree,
I’m glad that I live in this beautiful world
Heav’nly Father created for me.
2. He gave me my eyes that I might see
The color of butterfly wings.
He gave me my ears that I might hear
The magical sound of things.
He gave me my life, my mind, my heart:
I thank him rev’rently
For all his creations, of which I’m a part.
Yes, I know Heav’nly Father loves me

Things I am Thankful for Day 5
I am thankful for very talented friends. My friend Crystal took my boys pictures last week and they turned out so good. My boys were terrible for her, of course, and I wondered if she would have any decent shots. She is fabulous however and they turned out great. Check them out by clicking here.

Things I am Thankful for Day 3
I am thankful I have a place to call home! A place that is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. A place that keeps us safe from the rain, snow and wind. What a great blessing!!

Things I am Thankful for Day 2
Today I am grateful I made it through my day! I am also grateful the day is over and the kids are in bed!
I had to be at Noah's school early to help with carpool this morning. After getting out of bed I remembered I didn't make my meals for my meal group opps. They were due today at 2:00. I did Noah's carpool and then called to arrange Lara's carpool except I couldn't get a hold of Lara so I had to drive all the way back home, pick up Lara and take her to Jennifers house. Then I headed over to Dicks Grocery Store. I needed to get some things to make my meals. Luke and Isaac were both still in their jammies. They wanted to ride in the car cart (hate those things) so I caved and let them. (feeling a bit bad about dragging them out in their jammies). Luke proceeded to get in and out at least 25 times making my 15 minute shopping trip into a 30 minute trip.
Question: why is the tomato paste and sauce not by the tomatoes??
I bought the boys a donut and then we headed to the car. Isaac ate his donut but Luke, well he is Luke so he got mad that his donut got frosting on his hand and he chucked the donut on the floor of the car. Then he started crying because he wanted his donut he had just thrown. I headed to the bank listening to Luke screaming about his donut the whole way. At the bank I got my wipes and wiped him down and handed him his donut. As I was getting him out of the car my arm felt a little wet, yes, his diaper was really full (brilliant me didn't change him before we left). He had left a wet spot on me and his car seat. He was still kind of crying and got more frosting on him and as we were going in the bank he starting screaming again. I walked back to the car, got some more wipes, cleaned him up, but he had chucked the donut again and when I picked it up it had dirt and hair on it so I threw it away. Man oh man did I pay for that... he screamed the whole time I was in the bank (all the old people giving me crusties, you get the picture). We got our money and headed for the car. Then we had to go to the other bank to deposit the money we had just taken out of the other bank. (don't ask) The crying had stopped by then so I was feeling slightly less stressed out. I made my deposit and gave them their 2nd sucker for the day (it was only 9:30). The stick fell off Lukes sucker and he got mad and started crying yet again and spit his sucker on me and all over his jammies. So now I had pee, sucker, and donut all over me. Not to mention I hadn't showered or done my hair or make up for the day. I got home and started cooking, I had to make 10 six person meals and have them bagged and ready to go by 2. It was about 10:20 by then. My sister calls just as I am putting Luke in timeout because he is climbing on the table screaming at Isaac and throwing Legos everywhere. I didn't know who it was for a minute and she asks me if I am still meeting them (my mom and sister) for lunch. I had forgotten about our lunch date scheduled for 11:30 that day. At this point it is 10:20, which means I have to leave in 10 minutes to make it on time, I haven't showered and food is cooking on my stove. I tell her I will meet them but it will have to be a little bit later. I cook the food, get the cheese and sour cream in baggies, then run and shower. I stick the food in the fridge to cool while I am gone and we are off wet hair and all. (I did manage to get some eye make up on...)We meet them for lunch at Chuck A Rama. My kids eat their mac and cheese in about 10 minutes and then proceed to climb all over the bench and tell me every 2 minutes they are ready to go home. I manage to chat with my mom and sis. I decide I'd better see what time it is and wouldn't you know it, it is 1:45. I am in Orem and need to have my meals ready and delivered at 2:00. Yeah right.
I race home, get my meals bagged and then have to deliver them to everyone at home because I have missed the drop off. I was short 3 meals so I had to make another batch, plus pick up car pool and get Noah to scouts. I managed to get everyone fed and bathed and in bed at 7:30 (I turned the clocks ahead because it is just that kind of day hee hee) Noah then comes out and tells me he has homework. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! We proceed to do homework until 8:30 and now FINALLY everyone is in bed asleep. I am tired. I realize most of today was caused by me, lack of planning, stupidy, whatever......I am still tired.
Hopefully tomorrow is better.......

Things I am Thankful for Day 1
Since it is November I decided I would post some things I am thankful for! (Thanks Jamie for the reminder...)
Day 1: I am thankful for my family!
I have the greatest hubby, he helps me with the kids and the occasional dish and he loves me even when I am crazy!
My boys teach me everyday, they love me, give me hugs and kisses, make me laugh and teach me to be humble and patient!
I have the greatest Mom in the whole world. She listens and helps me out and is there for me whenever I need anything.
I have the greatest cousins in the whole world, they actually like spending time with me :), they are generous, kind, fun, beautiful and I wish we lived closer!!
I am also thankful for my friends!! They are kind of like family to me because we don't live that close to our families so I have to depend on them like you might your family! I have the greatest friends in the whole world, they cheer me up on gloomy days, help me with my kids, and teach me by their examples. They have been there for me through high school, bad haircuts, my divorce, 2 crappy pregnancies, 1 normal pregnancy, moving, every day motherhood, church callings, home remodels, yard work, grumpy days, sick days, the list goes on and on....

Bright sunshiney day!
There was sun today! Yipee!
I went to the park yesterday with Jenny and it was all overcast and yucky. Today I woke up to sunshine (not really, I don't sleep in that late...) I took the boys to the park again to play and get some Vitamin D! My days are so much better when there is sunshine! I get to go to an Elders Quorum party tonight...I know...I know... you are all jealous.....

Slow week...
So this week is early out for the the girl I pick up from school. Something about the 1:25 time that just throws me off for the day. Then she likes to hang out for a couple of hours before going home. I am used to boys, so I think girls require a bit more work. :) I don't know how to entertain her, dishes and laundry are not all that exciting....I will be glad when Friday has come and gone!
So, because of my super exciting week, I have nothing to update, no exciting news, no pictures......I did however get my laundry folded this week....pretty proud of myself.....oh yeah, I am pretty sure I have gained about 5 lbs too.....Andes Mint cookies and no exercise.....

I love pomegranates! I am going to a lunch this week where I am supposed to bring some kind of food with pomegranates in it. I peeled a couple of them today with my friend Anna. I was supposed to use them in my recipe for Thursday. Sadly, I only have like a 1/4 a cup left and I am pretty sure they won't last past tomorrow. I am going to have to go buy a few more for my recipe. I actually found a recipe for pomegranate cupcakes....not sure if I should attempt anything with cake in it's name.....

The blob in the picture is SUPPOSED to be a cake.

This is what the blob above us SHOULD look like.
I don't know how I do it but it is obvious that I have terrible cake baking skills. I cannot make a nice looking cake to save my life. Thankfully the blob in the first picture does actually taste pretty good so I shouldn't have any trouble getting my boys to eat it! :)
Happy Halloween!

Lazy....
I take a girl in my ward to school and pick her up every day. I have been doing this for a couple of years now. She is not shy around me and says the funniest things sometimes. So here is our conversation today:
Lara: So what did you do today?
Me: I took the boys to the park and then went to Target.
Pause....
Lara: You sure don't do much in your day!
??
I would love to have a day that I didn't have to do much. It would be nice to catch up on all the shows I have recorded and I have a couple of good books that are calling me to read them. She will understand the irony in that statement someday. Though I am pretty sure my hubby thinks the same thing some days.... :)

Things that make you go hmm?
This is a conversation I have with Isaac at least 4 times a week.
Isaac: I'm done with my dinner can I have a snack?
Me: No, if you are still hungry you can have more dinner?
Isaac: I am full of my dinner, what else can I have?
?? ?

Jason and I went to St. George with Adam and Marianne a couple of weeks ago. My Mom watched the boys for us while we played! We had a lot of fun. We went to a couple of movies, ate great food (restaurants without children are so nice...) and went hiking and just hung out! It was a nice relaxing weekend.

On the way down it was raining and I caught this picture of a rainbow.

Memory Lane....

I saw this on my friends blog and decided to try it.
1. Add a comment on this post. Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you have known me forever or for just a short time.
2. Add these instructions on your blog if you want and see how many people have memories of you.
Fun stuff!

Legos....

I have a love/hate relationship with Legos. On the one hand my boys love them. They build all kinds of crazy things and I think it is a better use of time than sitting in front of the TV. On the other hand there is Luke. Luke is little, not quite two. He has chubby hands and uncoordinated fingers. He LOVES Legos but can't quite build the fantastic things his brothers build. He tries, and then gets frustrated and ends up throwing Legos all over my house.
Have you ever stepped on a Lego? Then you know my suffering....
Do you know what it is like to find little Lego pieces and wheels all over your house? Again, more suffering....
After throwing them all over the place he will continue to cry about his lack of ability to build things. I sometimes try to help him but he just ends up breaking whatever we have built about 2 seconds later. Then more crying ensues. Yet again....more suffering.....
So what's a girl to do??
I'd like to get rid of all of them, but that would not be a good Mom thing to do. So, for the time being I will just live with it, maybe I will slowly pilfer from the Lego pile and throw them away one piece at a time.....

Confessions.....
On Friday I met some friends for dinner. It was so great to see everyone, I have not laughed that hard in a long time. Some of them I haven't seen for years (like 5-10 years). They are all so beautiful, they all have kids, some of them are working too. It seems crazy that time goes by so quickly! I am a little sad that I lost track of them over the years, I missed a lot of stuff! Sad how that happens huh....

Yummy food....
Isaac decided he wanted Mac & Cheese for his birthday dinner. That sounded awful to me so I made mac and cheese for the kids and then I tried a new recipe for the adults. It was so good and so easy I thought I would share.
Pork Chops with Apples and Stuffing
1 6 oz package Stove Top stuffing mix for Chicken
1 21 oz can apple pie filling
6 boneless pork loin chops
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare stuffing as directed on package.
Spread pie filling on bottom of 13x9 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with pork chops and then stuffing. Cover with foil.
Bank for 30-45 minutes. Uncover and bake an addition 10-15 minutes.
I don't love pork but there is something about pork and apples that goes together so well!! Yumm......

Remodeling....
Jason and I decided to do a few things to the house to get ready for the baptism. Just one of the many reasons I was so stressed out the 2 weeks before. We put in a new back splash and added a rope decor at the top of the cabinets. We put new bead board on the cabinets sides and then painted and glazed that. Then we painted all the baseboards in the house and did touch up paint on the walls. Crazy that it takes something like the baptism to actually get you to do the things you have needed to do for months! I took a picture of the back splash and cabinets for those of you that live far away and haven't seen it!

Favorite Book!
I am a survivor....
So I survived the week. My brain is still semi-attached. I am really tired, really really tired but that is ok. I have tons and tons of fruit left over from the dinner. I ended up giving ALL of the other food away. Yeah! (Tracey you are in trouble for not telling me there was that much cantaloupe in my fridge......) I just want to say I have the most FABULOUS friends in the entire world! Sally helped cater the baptism. It looked so beautiful and the food was awesome! Jennifer spent hours weeding my yard and then brought ice and cut up limes, lemons and oranges for the water bowl. Plus she sent her hubby over to help with tables and chairs. Crystal made my sons birthday cake, yes I did say birthday cake. By the way it was perfect! Tracey cleaned up my entire kitchen after everyone left. My Mom came up early and took care of my ironing pile (it took her like 4-5 hours, yikes!) How did I get so lucky? I am not that great of a friend and definately don't deserve it all but I do want you all to know I think you are the greatest friends a girl could ever have!! THANK YOU......THANK YOU......THANK YOU.
(Now on a side note, I do have a couple of friends that live far away and a few cousins that I know would have been here helping if they were closer, so girls I love you too!!)
I will update my blog with pictures tomorrow but I am just going to relax tonight!

Happy Birthday Noah!
It is Noah's birthday today! I can't believe he is 8! Where has the time gone. He surprised us 7 weeks early weighing in at 4 lbs. 8 oz. and 18 in. long. He was a great baby and has grown up to be a great boy. He is the best big brother and we all love him tons and tons!
Happy Birthday Noah!!

hmmmm.....
I am blogging because if I don't distract myself I might start crying. I am so tired and sore. I weeded my yard all day. My friend Jennifer helped me for a couple of hours this morning......I know....I am very lucky to have such a good friend that will help me weed my yard. Thank you girl! After she left I decided to do more stuff around the yard and that took a couple more hours. I left all these piles everywhere and I still have 2 more beds to do and all the piles to pick up, then I have to sweep and make everything look nice. Yard work sucks.....I need to move to Arizona where they just have cactus and rocks. My back and neck are all sore and my right hand hurts when I make a fist. I got stickers all in my left arm that I now get to pull out with tweezers.....I am so tired and I just want to go to bed......tomorrow I only have to finish weeding and paint my kitchen.......I am crying now so I am going to log off......

Sunday night....
It is Sunday night and we are watching "America's Funniest Home Videos" with the boys. I am so tired today, I must say I am really glad for the holiday tomorrow. We stayed up until 1:30 finishing Heroes Season 2 on Friday and then I ended up staying up late last night getting my house all clean and folding all the laundry. I dislike laundry so much.......
It is pouring rain right now, we watched the storm come in tonight, it was kind of erie. It was this fog like cloud and we watched it make it's way up the mountain until it got to our house. Then then wind stopped and it got cold and smelled fishy. Then about 15 minutes later the rain came down. The boys went out and played in the rain for a little while. Oh, well I am getting all distracted by the show and Lou wants me to hold him so I am going to log off now!
