I take a girl in my ward to school and pick her up every day. I have been doing this for a couple of years now. She is not shy around me and says the funniest things sometimes. So here is our conversation today:
Lara: So what did you do today?
Me: I took the boys to the park and then went to Target.
Pause....
Lara: You sure don't do much in your day!
??
I would love to have a day that I didn't have to do much. It would be nice to catch up on all the shows I have recorded and I have a couple of good books that are calling me to read them. She will understand the irony in that statement someday. Though I am pretty sure my hubby thinks the same thing some days.... :)

Classic Lara! I do wish I had nothing to do in my day.
Next time she asks you what you did all day, give her a list of exactly all the things you did from the moment you woke up until she asked you. Including every toy you picked up, every dish you put in the dishwasher, etc, etc, etc...
Yep, sometimes I don't think that people have any idea how hard it is to be a stay at home mom. I think it is more work than having a full time job. Kids are funny, I am sure that one day she will understand.
They just don't get it do they? Chip often wonders why I don't go to more places with Cash in tow? I told him that I would send him to Harmons with my grocery list & Cash next - then he will see how easy my day is!
Funny - I wonder if someday my kids would say something like that, but good thing Jeff has been a stay at home dad before - he u/s all the work that needs to get done but doesn't.
dang- yeah you sure don't, need to stop hanging out with your dorky friend at the part 3 days a week! LOL
