Gimpy....

I went to YW's last night. We went for a hike to get ready for Trek. We were going to go to one spot and when we got there some other ward beat us there (ok, really like 3 wards). This place had pretty wide trails so I brought Luke along. But since the trail was full of other people we went to another trail. This one was not so wide and after pushing Luke in the stroller for about 5 minutes I realized that we were not going to be able to take the stroller. So we stashed the stroller in the trees and I got to carry Luke the rest of the way. That rest of the way was really about an hour or longer. We crossed 4 bridges, one of which I missed and stepped in the water soaking my right shoe. On the way back instead of using the bridges I just walked through the streams. It was actually pretty fun despite the wet shoes and carrying 25 extra pounds, oh yeah and Luke throwing up on me.

As I was dropping the girls off, one of them needed to get her shoes in the back, so I hopped out and opened the back. As she was getting her shoes out she knocked one of the stroller wheels and it fell hitting my now bare toes. I almost started crying then and there but I kept my composure. What are the odds that I would survive a hike, carrying my 25 lb. 18 month old, and then get wounded by my #@$* stroller wheel??

It is the toe next to my big toe, you can kind of see the bruising. It's not broken but it hurts like a mother. I won't be running anymore this week. To tell you the truth, I am kind of relieved. I am loving having an excuse to sit down!

Say Cheese....

This is Luke's outfit of choice today. He spilled yogart on his shirt today and he isn't dressed yet. What a slacker..... I especially love the size 11 Mater slippers. They are his favorite things to wear lately.

Laundry.....

Ok, so I am totally lame but I am so excited. I have been using the delay button on my washing machine and it is fabulous! I realize you may have already discovered this miracle button....why have you not shared?? So I load my laundry in the night before, then I put the soap in and set my cycle and delay it 8 hours. It starts at 8 in the morning and my laundry is all washed by the time we are done with breakfast. I AM LOVING THIS!!

Just wanted to share.....

Final count down....

The Miller Family reunion is coming, oh yes, it is one of my favorite scheduled vacations every year. Ok, so not really. Don't get me wrong, I love Jason's family, they are great.....I just don't love their choice of family reunion things to do. We are going camping. I don't love camping... I don't even kind of like camping. I am allergic to everything that lives and breathes in the mountains, I don't love dirt, cooking outdoors, smelling like campfire, sleeping on an air mattress with a man that weighs more than me, raccoons, bugs, need I say more....oh yeah...having to use the restroom at 2 am....
This year I am in charge of the whole thing with Jason's mom. No, I don't get to choose where we go, I just get to plan all the activities that we will do during the time we are there. Yes, I am totally stressed out at this moment......I just have a million things to do before I get up there.......time is running out......sob...sob....

Silly kids.....

I am making passports for our Miller family reunion. We decided to have fun with the boys pictures. They were so funny I thought I would share.

Who could this be?

And this little man with so much hair is?? Hans....Olaf...maybe Napolean?

Of course, no family reunion is complete without Batman.....

p.s. I don't want to hear any smart comments about all the laundry in the background of the batman picture....sadly, this is a common occurance at our house lately!

Father's Day!

On Father's Day I decided to make Jason a cake. Now I can cook, occasionally I make things that tase and look good. This was NOT one of those days. I can't bake cakes....I ruin them every time.....

So I made Jason a bundt cake, it was all working out fine until I tried to get the cake out of the pan. You can see how that went......it looks pretty gross, but luckly it tasted pretty good!

Aside from the cake, I think Jason's favorite gift was the shirt from the boys... :) We love you honey, thanks for being such a great Hubby and Dad!

Update on the running thing....

Here is a little update on how the running is going. (jogging really, but who is keeping score...) I ran 4 days last week. This week I have only ran 1 time (tonite) but I am determined to get at least 3 days in so it looks like I will be running on Friday and Saturday! I read this book about running and the lady said she looked forward to running, it was her way to keep her sanity. I don't look forward to it yet......I haven't lost any weight either...... Oh, and I keep my sanity with a Dr. Pepper and chocolate! :)

My new thing.....

So, I decided I am going to run some 5K 's this summer. I checked out a couple books on running from the library yesterday. I think I might have convinced Jennifer and Crystal to run them with me???? We will see! Anyone else want to join in??? I need a new motivation to get into shape, and maybe it will help me calm down, relieve some stress?? I am starting tomorrow! (running...not racing...probably not 3 miles to start out either...can't expect too much from the first day!)

Happy Birthday to you......

Friday was my Mom's birthday! She is 60...a senior citizen now.....j/k Mom! We drove to Provo and met her for lunch and then went back to her office for cake and a little celebration! Shauna (her boss and friend) got a guy to play the harmonica for her (my Mom is a harmonica player...). He was a funny little man, but I must admit.... harmonica music isn't really my thing so Lou and I walked around her office and rode the elevator a couple of times. I met all her friends at work and the cake was fantastic! After her party we went to her house so the boys could play for a while and then we went and got some dinner and hung out some more at her house. We left at about 10 in the morning and got home around 9:00. It was a long day, but totally worth it. My Mom is so great, she is the best Nana to the boys and does so much for Jason and I. She may be slightly crazy.... but we love her tons and tons!!

Happy Birthday Mom, I love you!!

My Mom and I!

Nana and her boys!

In & Out Burger Jedi.....

Lou has decided he wants to be an In & Out Burger Jedi when he grows up. I wonder how much they make per hour??

Hair be gone.....

Lou and Zeke got haircuts. Yes, I am the haircutter....I am too cheap to pay someone else to do it! I am getting better at it....learning as I go! I have 3 boys, I better learn sooner than later!

I left Lou's a little longer so I could spike it!

Zeke's is really short, perfect for summer!! (and for those Mom's, like myself, who don't comb hair!)

End Zone!

I went to a 101.9 End Zone. The featured artist was Matt Costa. No, I had not heard of him before. He is this skater dude that sings folky type music (like Jack Johnson). I went by myself, it was the last week of school and all my friends are mom's, you know how that goes! It was kind of cool.... he is the only sort of famous person I have ever met. I am lame.... and I look like a dork in the picture. No, I am not scared, the girl taking the pic just took so long.....

Lou don't cry....

Lou went to his 18 month check up. What a day! He cried the ENTIRE time. It all started when the nurse wanted to weigh him.... then when we stripped him down he about had a heart attack. The shots didn't help anything either.....

Poor Lou....

We got a half smile AFTER we were all done!

First day of summer.....

I still haven't downloaded my pics. Lazy, Lazy. I had a bunch of people over yesterday for a BBQ. I don't usually do stuff like that (I get so nervous for some reason asking people over?). I invited 5 couples and their kids over. Everyone came and it was so much fun. It was a crazy day however. I got up and went out to do some yardwork early. I spent 4 hours in my backyard pulling weeds. For those of you who have not seen my backyard it is tiered. So you have the top tier where the swingset is and then there are three tiers of planter boxes and then the bottom level where the tramp and BB court are. Well the 3 planter box tiers have not been weeded since we moved in. Yes, 3 years now.... I am still not done with one tier yet. I got all creeped out because of all the bugs and then stopped. I need to finish today. Ok, so then at about 12:00 I decided I better run to the store to get my stuff. I packed the kids in the car and we went to Walmart. I was looking totally hot.... I got home at about 2:45 from running my errands and then I had to bake my cake and make my salad. Then I had to set up the chairs and get my house picked up. I jumped in the shower at about 5:45 and was all ready before everyone came at 6:00. (hair wet, but fully clothed) Luke fell off a kids chair twice, yes 2 times and hit his head on the same sprinkler, both times in the same spot. He was bleeding all over, but it wasn't very deep so luckily we didn't have to take him to the doctor! Whew.... other than that I think it was a nice night. After everyone left I mopped my kitchen floor and the tile floor in the basement, wiped down my bathrooms, picked up all the toys and did the dishes. I got to bed about 11:45. I had to get up at 5:00 this morning to take the YM to the temple to do baptisms. I am now totally wasted. I already fell asleep on the couch once this morning.....not a good thing to do with an 18 month old wandering around. I think I might take the boys to the dollar theatre to see Horton Hears a Who. I need to do something that requires very little work today!!
