Our trip to Washington....

The boys and I took a trip up to Washington. We got there just in time to celebrate my Mom and my Uncle John's birthday!

5K Anyone....

I ran my first 5K today! I have been wanting to run one for years I just haven't gotten my butt off the couch. My friend Sally ran it with me. It was pouring rain but we did it anyway!

We decided to go on a little trip this weekend. We packed our car up and drove to see the Hawleys in Fruitta. Where is Fruitta you say? It is actually in Colorado. It is a little more than a hour east of Moab.
We spent Friday in Moab hiking and biking and then made our way to Fruitta.
Jason decided that we HAD to hike to Delicate Arches. I had my doubts, mostly because of the kids (it is a 3 mile round trip hike). We borrowed a toddler backpack and went on our way. Luke walked the entire way to the top. He had one little spill and scraped his knee all up but he was a little trooper. It was definately worth the hike. It is beautiful, a little windy but beautiful!

After our hike we went into Moab for lunch. Then we hit a trail for a bike ride.

Here I am clear back there walking my bike up the hill. I thought I might DIE! I was pulling Isaac and Luke in the bike trailer and I just started riding my bike like 2 weeks ago. Off road is not quite like riding on paved, FLAT trails! What was I thinking!
After the death ride we drove on to Fruitta. Fruitta is actually known for it's bike trails so Jason was in HEAVEN! (Shelly, we may be coming to see you more often.....) It was so great to see Shelly and her family and to just hang out for the weekend!
Sadly, we are back home.....I am not sure I am ready for real life to start up again.....

A first...

I have lived in Utah ALL my life and have never been skiing.......




Until now! (Look at that form....)

Jason finally convinced me to let him teach me to ski. The first time was a bit rocky, Jason was VERY patient. I am sure I swore at him more than once and then told him to leave me the *&%# alone. The second time went smoother, no swearing, I think I might have even been nice to him. By the third time out I am a pro! (Not really, anything above the bunny hill still scares me....)
Anyhoo... I think it is pretty fun! Can't believe it took me 33 years to discover the slopes!

Funny Luke...

Luke is saying the funniest things lately.

Me: Lou, did you crap your pants?
Luke: Not me....Noah do it.....

A couple of nights ago I woke up in the middle of the night and I could hear Luke in his bed...

Luke: Knock, Knock
Luke: Who's dere?
Luke: something...Cars....something...
Giggle, Giggle.....

Strep Throat

We have had strep throat at our house this week! Blah! We went to the doctor and we are now on some antibiotics so we should be well soon!!!

Our friend Anna brought us some popsicles. Luke LOVES popsicles, mommy.....not so much.....

Suprise!

We got a surprise package from Germany! Jason's parents are serving a mission in Germany and they sent the boys some gifts! We always love getting surprises!!

I am never sad about getting chocolate from Germany.....ymmm.....

Lou got some tablets that turned the bath water different colors...they were pretty cool, no ring around the tub or anything!

Isaac got a telescope. He was THRILLED! He kept asking us if he could see into outer space with it.....

Noah got a stop watch, he was also THRILLED! He now times himself doing homework, brushing teeth, doing jobs, etc.......

THANK YOU Grandma and Grandpa! We love you and miss you tons!
