We spent Friday in Moab hiking and biking and then made our way to Fruitta.
Jason decided that we HAD to hike to Delicate Arches. I had my doubts, mostly because of the kids (it is a 3 mile round trip hike). We borrowed a toddler backpack and went on our way. Luke walked the entire way to the top. He had one little spill and scraped his knee all up but he was a little trooper. It was definately worth the hike. It is beautiful, a little windy but beautiful!

You can see how windy it was by the boys hairdoos.....

I swear that is us...the little ants under the huge arch....

Some pics of the boys on the way up....

More pics of the boys.....
After our hike we went into Moab for lunch. Then we hit a trail for a bike ride.

Here is Noah on his first mountain bike ride!

Here I am clear back there walking my bike up the hill. I thought I might DIE! I was pulling Isaac and Luke in the bike trailer and I just started riding my bike like 2 weeks ago. Off road is not quite like riding on paved, FLAT trails! What was I thinking!
After the death ride we drove on to Fruitta. Fruitta is actually known for it's bike trails so Jason was in HEAVEN! (Shelly, we may be coming to see you more often.....) It was so great to see Shelly and her family and to just hang out for the weekend!
Sadly, we are back home.....I am not sure I am ready for real life to start up again.....

I'm so impressed you got your blog updated so fast! You are amazing! Thanks for coming to Fruita (just one t!) and seeing my house and hanging out with me. I miss you! You guys are welcome any time!!!!!!
yay! a post!!! what fun! it's great to have getaways like this!
Looks like fun! One question- why wasn't Jason pulling the bike trailer. (It's probably because your bike is the one with the attachment for the trailer, but I still feel a little bad for you. Our attachment is on Chad's bike, but that's probably because I don't even own a bike.)
Although it's not fun to pack for and clean up after a trip, it's fun to just get away for the weekend. I really look forward to things like that and don't do them near enough.
We need to go to the park this weekend. I haven't seen you much lately. I kind of miss you!
Brett and I have been talking about going to Arches too. He thinks next Oct would be a good time, I'm thinking next April. That is one of my favorite places to visit.
How fun! Jamie and I hiked arches in Moab in high school and I still remember how breathtakingly beautiful it was!
