Ok, so since Jason is now home for the month of April I thought back to February when he was home. I was used to using the treadmill and then he was home and taking over the office so instead of doing something else I just did nothing. Well, I decided to be proactive this month and try a few workout DVD's. I hopped in my car and drove over to the nearest Library to see what they had. Here is a rundown of the DVD's I checked out and a few I have at home. This may or may not ever help you, you may or may not think I am a total spaz, however, someday I will be toned and sculpted and you will not have to wonder how I did it.....
Lotte Burke Method: Muscle Eats Fat: I thought this one was going to be pretty stupid. You never know what you get at the library, their selection is slim and really old. However, I was pleasantly suprised about this one. It was not a cardio workout, I didn't sweat at all doing it but I could feel my muscles working and I am a little sore today! I think I will continue to use this one! You need light hand weights and a chair, that is all! It is about 45 minutes.
The Ultimate New York Body Plan: Just Two Weeks to a Total Transformation by David Kirsch: This one was a good workout, I did sweat and felt like I was working hard. This guy is totally stuck on himself however so if you can get past it and just do the workout it is ok. You do need an exercise ball, hand weights and a medicine ball (I used a 5 lb weight instead). It is 45 minutes.
Kathy Smith Matrix Method Ultimate Sculpt: This is a great workout, you will feel it for 2 days. I actually own this one. You need hand weights and that is it. This one is guarenteed to make you sweat and breath hard! It is about 45 minutes.
Crunch Burn and Firm Pilates: I actually liked this one too. You need light hand weights. I thought it was a good workout. I didn't totally sweat but she works your legs and butt! It is about 45 minutes.
The Biggest Loser Workout: Cardio Max: I LOVED this workout! I did week 5-6. There is 3 different workouts you can do all of them or 2 of them or whatever. Week 5-6 is all 3. This workout made me sweat, and I felt like I was working hard! You need hand weights. It is about 50 minutes for week 5-6, 40 minutes for weeks 3-4 and 30 minutes for weeks 1-2.
The Biggest Loser Workout: Power Sculpt: I was sore for a couple of days after this one. I didn't love it for some reason but it was a good workout. You need hand weights and the times are the same as the above workout.
The Firm Cardio Sculpt: I liked this workout, it made me sweat. You need a step and hand weights. If you have never taken a step class at the gym the foot work could be confusing. Other than that I liked the workout! It is about 55 minutes.
Ok so there is the rundown on the DVD's I have done in the last couple of weeks. As I do new ones I will let you know. I do think I am going to buy the Biggest Loser cardio one but other than that I am still trying out new ones!!

Okay, I have three of the firm workout videos, and I agree, they work you out good. I just hate how long they are... Plus, I can never get through the ab workout at the end, that must say something for my poor workout skills...
Yeah!! Thanks for the info. I have been thinking about doing some video's at home. (I can't seem to get myself to the gym these days.) Have you ever tried Windsor Pilates? I really like these also!
Thanks for the tips! I can't wait to start doing normal workouts again. I have been using the libraries collection of pregnancy videos and they are all pretty lame.
You're not going to get all annoying, and start counting calories, are you? I mean, I hate those kind of people. They always have to have a salad for dinner, and make the rest of us feel fat for ordering something normal.
Oh...wait...
PS - The loaf of bread looks good. When can we expect a hot, fresh loaf?
Sorry can't help you with the tapes. I never use them because we all know I have the body that everyone covets(:
